Reviewsday Tuesday - January Lootcrate "Rewind"

Hi. Hey. Hello.
So I know I did one of these about 6 months ago, and never continued them, but I have been getting these Lootcrates every month since then, so I thought I'd restart them again :)

January's theme was "Rewind", so it was full of retro items, which was super cool. The first item that I saw was the Blacktie-Geek boz, that had a "Space Ivaders" print on it, and while I probably won't use this myself, I know my nephews would have a ball with it.

Next up, was a little SNES game cartridge man, which is a special Lootcrate exclusive, that I believe had a different game print in each Lootcrate. I thought this guy was super cute with his little gun, and he is know proudly protecting all the other little figures that are living on my computer desk.

We then have a pair of 8-bit sunglasses, that again my nephews will love, as I don't find them at appealing.

This cute, little comic note book is next, that the inside looks like a blank comic book, so you are able to make your own. It even comes with speech bubble stencils to help with all the drama and effects comics normally have.

Each crate comes with a little pin with a different image on it to reflect that months theme, so this months had a little cassette tape on it, in honour of the retro "Rewind" theme.

We also have the month magazine that comes in each crate, giving you a little background on the theme and what exactly is in each box, as well as a vintage looking Star Wars comic book, that is exclusive to Lootcrate. Lootcrate exclusives have been increasing in recent months, and it is awesome to see and know that only the people who get these crates will have those items.

Finally, we have a T-Shirt that has a cool looking transformers print on it, that I really like. I love it when it is a T-Shirt month, as they always have really awesome, nerdy designs on them.

And that is it! I hope you enjoyed my little review of this months Lootcrate, it wasn't my favourite one I've gotten, but it was still a nice treat to get this month after working full time.

Thanks for reading and visiting my little place on the internet, comment if you want, and see you next time!!

Reviewsday Tuesday - Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn

Hi. Hey. Hello.
In my What I Got For Christmas post, I showed you that got the book "Sharp Objects" by Gillian Flynn along with her two others, and I decided to give it a read after I liked "Gone Girl" so much. It only took me about a week and a bit to finish, as it was a lot smaller than "Gone Girl" and I just loved it so much I couldn't put it down!!  Here is my review on the book, so I hope you enjoy :) Also, This post will have spoilers, so be warned.
Just like GG, it was very easy for me to read from the start, as it had a similar perspective, which I liked. The story line is a little bit darker, but I enjoyed it, as you got to know more about the main character, Camille, a lot quicker, especially because she has a lot more internal monologue happening. I liked how the story didn't play off that her family was perfect (far from it) and how much distaste Camille had for her mother, Adora, and how much she essentially ruined her childhood. I also liked how she became more closer with her sister, Amma, throughout the book, especially after they had taken the drugs together, and ran home together.
I always thought that Amma and Adora would very strange, so when I read that Amma had killed the young girls and Adora had been poisoning both Camille and Amma, as well as their dead sister Marian, I wasn't surprised. I also wasn't suprised that the reason Amma killed the girls was because they were getting too much affection from her own mother, whos affection she would only get whenever she was sick from her mothers drugs.
I enjoyed the ending of this book a lot more than in GG, as it wasn't as abrupt and it closed all the ends that had been made during the story line. Would definitely recommend this one.
10/10

I hoped you like my little review, and it made sense to you, and makes you want to read it :) Thanks for reading and visiting my little place on the internet, comment if you want, and see you next time!!

Makeup Monday - O.P.I Nail Lacquer

Hi. Hey. Hello.
I was at the chemist the other day getting a very things, and I saw these 2 O.P.I Nail Lacquers that I thought I'd get myself as a treat. I was drawn to these two because they were so different to ones I have seen recently, and I LOVE pearlescent colours. I found out after I got these that they are part of the "Muppets Most Wanted" Collection, which is reflected in the names of the polishes. The first one is called "Kermit Me To Speak", which is the pearlescent one that changes from a purpley colour through a rose gold to a lovely gold colour, and this is my favourite out of the two. The other colour is called "Let's Do Anything We Want!", which is just a clear polish with light pink and white glitter through it, as well as some bigger white squares. I think they work really well together, even with all the colours in the pearlescent polish. I did do three coats of "Kermit Me To Speak" to get the nice, dark coverage, but you can always to just one coat to have a light cover. I can't wear nail polish very often because I can't wear it were I work, so I always like painting my nails when I have the chance.

I hope you like these colours as much as I do, and thanks for reading and visiting my little place on the internet, comment if you want, and see you next time!!

January Favourites

Hi. Hey. Hello.
I thought considering it was a new month, I would do a post about all of my favourites for January! It is a mix of everything, from food to games and electronics, so I hope you like my little review of them all :)

First item that I love this month was the book "Sharp Objects" by Gillian Flynn, which is the second book I have read of hers this month. I love this book because of the perspective it was written in, and how the characters all develop at different stages, but there will be a full review of this book on Tuseday for Reviewsday Tuseday.

Secondly, we have my Nexus 7 Tablet that I have had for over a year and a half now, but have recently fallen back in love with it. I started a new workout routine in the begining of the year (Post to come at some point in time) , and my table has made it so I don't have to have the eBook up on my computer, I can take it with me into any room of my house. I have also gotten back into some of the games I have on there.

Next, we have some healthy snacks that I have been obsessed with this month. I have done a post about the Table Of Plenty rice-cakes, but the Wholesome Pop Rice snacks are actually the best things I have put in my mouth this month, no joke. they are so tasty while being so healthy!!

Moving on, the next item is a Game for the WiiU I bought myself as a treat for doing well with my workouts, and it is called "Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker" and you basically have different stages where you find diamonds and other special items. I liked it so much because the levels don't take too long, so you only have to play short bursts of it if you wanted instead of other games were you can't save for ages.

Then on to a fairly random favourite, it is a fan pen from a store called Typo, and I have loved this because despite the very rainy summer we are having, there have been a few days that have been toucture (I HATE hot weather) and this little pen and given my the nice, cool brease that had kept me cool, while also sitting in the air-conditioner and eating a frozen banana haha.

Lastly, we move onto the final 2 things on my favourites list this month, and they would be the O.P.I Nail Lacquer in "Kermit Me To Speak" which there will be a post about tomorrow for Makeup Monday, and the L'oreal Paris Colour Riche Le Smoky pencil eyeliner in the shade 204 Brown Fusion. The eyeliner has been a recent thing that I have found, and have fallen in love with, as it is to smooth to apply and haves the right look that I want to achieve, so there will definitely be a post about that in the near future.

So there you have it, all of my January favourites!! I hope you have enjoyed finding out what my favourites have been, thanks for reading and visiting my little place on the internet, comment if you want, and see you next time!!

Foody Friday - Breakfast Berry Smoothie

Hi. Hey. Hello.
I've been having this smoothie pretty much everyday this year, so I thought I'd share the super, super simple and healthy ingredients with you :)

Ingredients
- 1 Cup Frozen Mixed Berries
- 1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds
- 2.5 Tablespoons Rolled Oats
- 2 Tablespoons Greek Yogurt
- 1.5 Cups Milk
- Stab Mixer/Blender/Nutibullet

Basically, but place all of the ingredients into your blender/Nutibullet/tall container and blend together. Simple. You can change out the yogurt and milk for coconut milk or something healthier, and can also swap out the berries for something else, like 1 large banana.

I hope you liked my smoothie recipe and give it a try, as well as my gif of all the ingredients :) Thanks for reading and visiting my little place on the internet, comment if you want, and see you next time!!
